Charlotte Chiu
The decision to go to therapy is a courageous one. If you are feeling anxious about it, Charlotte will walk you through how to make therapy feel less scary and more comfortable. During the first session, she will focus on getting to know you and your story, as well as helping you put into words what you are struggling with and what you are hoping to get out of therapy.
Overall, Charlotte finds that people do better with an integrative approach, meaning that she will use tools and strategies from different therapies to help. Gradually, you will get a feel on what works best for you and the sessions will become more and more customized. Think of it like breaking in a pair of shoes so that it fits better with time.
As a Chinese-Canadian, Charlotte understands the challenges one might face growing up in an immigrant household: managing familial expectations, breaking free from mental health stigma, feeling caught between cultures, and unlearning patterns of behaviour. If this resonates with you, feel free to reach out.

Claire Ho
Claire grew up in Taiwan in a family shaped by traditional Asian values, where love was often expressed through responsibility, sacrifice, and caring for others. After moving to Canada as a teenager, she experienced the challenge of navigating different cultural expectations while trying to understand her own identity. These experiences helped Claire understand that the desire to belong can sometimes lead people to silence their emotions or disconnect from their needs. Claire believes therapy can be a space to explore these patterns with compassion, helping clients reconnect with themselves and with the people who matter to them.
Claire works with individuals navigating cultural identity, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and relational challenges. Claire also supports couples and families experiencing conflict or emotional distance, and has helped many adult children reconnect with their parents by fostering understanding, repairing emotional injuries, and creating safer ways to communicate across generations. She is especially passionate about supporting immigrant and Asian families as they navigate cultural values, expectations, and evolving relationships. Claire provides therapy in both English and Mandarin.

Jen Ryu
As a second-generation Korean-Canadian, Jen grew up trying to figure things out herself so she wouldn’t be a burden to others. She learned to carry her struggles in silence, but her desire to be truly known and accepted never faded. Despite this desire, letting people see the messy, broken parts of her life was incredibly scary because of cultural implications which left her feeling lonely and unsure who she could turn to. It wasn’t until Jen’s own counselor that she was able to experience healing in a relationship with a safe other, and the relief of knowing she would be accepted just as she is even when she doesn’t have it all together.
Jen believes that we are all made for connection. With Jen, you can expect to find a safe space where you are welcome just as you are. A space where there will be self-discovery, laughter, tears, understanding and growth. Her hope is that you don’t have to feel so alone in your pain anymore and can experience healing through relationship. For those who wish to bring their faith into counseling, Jen can provide Christian integration upon request.
